Managing Funeral Director
Southwestern Ontario | Two-Location Funeral Home & Cremation Service
We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and motivated Managing Funeral Director to lead a well-established two-location Funeral Home operation serving approximately 120 calls annually in Southwestern Ontario.

The business has recently come under new ownership and is looking for a Managing Director to help grow and shape the business.
Position Overview
The Managing Funeral Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of both funeral home locations while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, client care, staff leadership, and community service. This will be done while working directly with ownership to provide all services.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of two funeral home locations
- Manage other Funeral Directors and FDAs
- Coordinate and supervise all funeral, cremation, visitation, and memorial services
- Lead and support funeral home staff in a positive and professional manner
- Meet with families to arrange funeral and cremation services
- Ensure all services are conducted with compassion, dignity, and attention to detail
- Maintain compliance with all applicable Ontario bereavement sector regulations and licensing requirements
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and on-call coverage
- Oversee care and presentation of facilities, vehicles, and equipment
- Work collaboratively with ownership regarding budgeting, purchasing, and operational planning
- Foster strong community relationships and maintain the funeral home’s reputation for excellence
- Participate in after-hours removals and on-call responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Class 1 Funeral Director
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with clean driving record
Preffered Attributes
- applicants with 5+ years' experience as a fully licensed Funeral Director
- Previous funeral home management or leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Schedule
- Full-time permanent position
- On-call and weekend responsibilities required as part of management duties on a rotating basis
