Managing Funeral Director – Stoney Creek Chapel
We are searching for those who want to share in our passion for serving families during one of life's most difficult moments.
We are a family-owned funeral home, and have been dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate and personalized service to families since 1938. We are seeking a fulltime Licensed Funeral Director to assume the role of Manager at our Stoney Creek location and join our team as a leader and team-player.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have some management experience and will be a passionate, self-motivated, well-spoken, compassionate, and highly-organized service-oriented person, with excellent communication skills and able to remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities will include arranging with families, directing services, facility and property maintenance, and overseeing funerals and daily operations (including scheduling, planning and staffing as required).
Other expectations of this comprehensive role include being the liaison for all clergy, churches, local businesses and connected organizations, participating in community events on behalf of the company, and handling situations with accountability and professionalism. This is an ideal opportunity for continued career growth with our organization which not only cares for the families we are honoured to serve, but for our community and most importantly our team members.
Ethics, professionalism and service to others are our guiding principles. We have no commissioned staff members, and we treat all families equally, with kindness, patience and compassion.
We are family-owned and supporting our people is of utmost importance to us, which is why we are committed to providing our valued team members with guidance, an opportunity for personal and professional growth, and working to help them achieve a work life balance. We offer a competitive salary, benefits and pension program, professional uniform, smart phone and dry-cleaning allowance. Salary will be based on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
Requirements include a Class 1 Funeral Director’s Licence and Class G Ontario Driver’s Licence (with a clean driving record).
Please send your resumé and cover letter in confidence to Jennifer Rayworth – email@example.com on or before July 23, 2021.
While we thank all candidates for their interest, only those being considered will be contacted for an interview. Otherwise, no phone calls please.
